North Hempstead Receiver Berman Hosts Seminar on Tax Exemption For Seniors

Manhasset, NY—
North Hempstead Receiver Charles Berman has announced an upcoming seminar focusing on tax exemptions for seniors in an effort to equip residents with the information needed to help them pay their fair share of taxes.

The seminar will convene Aug. 11 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon at North Hempstead Town Hall, 220 Plandome Rd., in Manhasset.

“I meet seniors all the time who are eligible for tax exemptions, that could save them thousands of dollars, but they miss out simply because they don’t have the necessary information,” Berman said. “Through outreach programs like this one I am trying to help every eligible senior and North Hempstead resident lower their property taxes with exemptions they may qualify for.”

The informative session is designed to help residents understand the various property tax exemptions available and how they can benefit.

For more information, residents are urged to call 311 or visit www.northhempsteadny.gov. Also be sure to follow North Hempstead on Facebook: www.facebook.com/townofnorthhempstead.
