49th Annual Spring Plant Sale at Clark Garden to Take Place Mother’s Day Weekend

Friday & Saturday, May 11 and 12, 2018


North Hempstead, NY – Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board have partnered with the Clark Garden Auxiliary for the 49th Annual Spring Plant Sale at Clark Botanic Garden on Friday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The annual sale will feature annuals, perennials, herbs, shrubs, hanging baskets and vegetables for purchase. The plant sale raises money for the Fanny Dwight Clark Memorial Garden, Inc.

“In the spring Clark Botanic Garden is at the height of its beauty with tulips, daffodils and many more blossoms,” said Supervisor Bosworth. “The plant sale is the perfect time to visit the garden for Mother’s Day Weekend and enjoy spending time in an oasis of peace and nature.”

Collections at the garden include native spring wildflowers, conifers, roses, perennials, daylilies, wetland plants, rock garden plants, herbs, butterfly plants, medicinal plants, and over a dozen collections of particular plant families.

The Plant Sale will also feature:
• Art Show
• Attic Treasures
• Garden Gift Shop (including the popular Clark Garden Honey)
• Tea Room (sandwiches and home-made cakes)
• Raffles
• Bioferm, “Black Gold” for your garden
• Farm Stand Selling Organic Locally Grown Produce

Founded in 1969, Clark Botanic Garden is a 12-acre living museum and educational facility dedicated to understanding and appreciating the world's plant life through horticulture, education and research. It is located at 193 I. U. Willets Road in Albertson.
