Town Clerk Wayne Wink Re-Elected with 61% of vote

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Clerk Wayne Wink was re-elected on November 7 to a four-year term with 24,943 votes, or a 61% margin of victory over his opponent.

“I am pleased and humbled by the support I have received from our friends and neighbors here in the Town of North Hempstead. Our record of increasing and improving services while cutting the budget clearly resonated with residents, and I look forward to continuing our efforts in the years to come,” said Town Clerk Wink.

Wink was elected as the Town of North Hempstead’s Clerk in November 2014. Previously, Wink served as a County Legislator and also spent five years as a Town Council Member.

Wink will begin his second full-term as Town Clerk on January 1, 2018. The swearing in ceremony will take place on January 7, 2018.
