Town Offers Free Parking for Veterans with Disabilities at Manorhaven and North Hempstead Beach Parks

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, the Town Board and the Town’s Veterans Advisory Committee have announced that the Town is now offering FREE parking for veterans with disabilities at Manorhaven Beach Park and North Hempstead Beach Park. This was approved unanimously by the Supervisor and Council at the May 10 Town Board meeting. In order to qualify, residents need to show their government issued VA card.

“This is just another way that we are showing appreciation to our veterans who have done so much to defend our nation and protect our liberty and freedom,” Supervisor Bosworth said.

The Town also offers discounted annual parking permits for all veterans at these facilities, at a price of $25, as opposed to the general $50 resident rate.

North Hempstead Beach Park is located at 175 West Shore Road in Port Washington, and Manorhaven Beach Park is located at 158 Manorhaven Boulevard in Port Washington.
