Town Councilman Peter Zuckerman Re-Elected with 66% of vote

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Councilman Peter J. Zuckerman (2nd District) was re-elected on November 3 to a four-year term with 3,164 votes, or a 66% margin of victory over his opponent.

“I am humbled by the overwhelming support shown to me by the voters of the Second District,” said Councilman Zuckerman. “I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve the residents, address their concerns and improve their quality of life. As I prepare to begin my first full term, I look forward to working together with Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and my colleagues on the Town Board, as we continue to make the Town of North Hempstead one of the best places to live.”

Councilman Zuckerman was first appointed to the Town Board in January 2014 and won a special election for the seat in November 2014. Councilman Zuckerman represents the 2nd District of the Town of North Hempstead, which includes Albertson, East Hills, East Williston, Glenwood Landing, Greenvale, Herricks, Manhasset Hills, Roslyn Harbor, Roslyn Heights and Searingtown.

Prior to serving on the Town Board, Zuckerman served his community for 11 years as a trustee for the Village of East Hills. During his tenure, he helped oversee the development of The Park at East Hills, at the former Roslyn Air National Guard Base.

Councilman Zuckerman is a graduate of Emory University and New York Law School. He resides in East Hills with his wife and three children
