New Programming on North Hempstead TV Includes Original Short Film by PW Resident
‘Lost and Found’ & Building Department program debut Mon. 9/28

North Hempstead, NY – The Town of North Hempstead’s award-winning, non-commercial government channel North Hempstead TV (NHTV) will be premiering two brand new programs this upcoming Monday, September 28 on Channel 18/63 on Cablevision and Channel 46 on Verizon FIOS.

First at 7 p.m. is a six-minute short-film titled “Lost and Found,” which is the story of two seniors who are going through a difficult time in their life and are searching for love. The film takes place at the Town’s “Yes We Can” Community Center in New Cassel and North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington. The script for the film won first place in the 2014 Town of North Hempstead Screenwriting contest. The winner, Guy Warren of Port Washington, had the opportunity to participate in the filming and see his screenplay come to life, as well as having a cameo in the film.

At 7:30 p.m., NHTV will premiere the instructional video, “What to do Before Buying or Selling a Home,” which walks residents through this complex process and provides information on what documents you need to obtain from the Building Department before putting your house on the market, or moving into a new residence.

These two new programs will air all week at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

NHTV produces more than 60 new and original programs each year. To view all of NHTV’s programs log on to www.mynhtv.com or check out the Town’s YouTube page at www.youtube.com/townofnorthhempstead.
