Town Officials Promote Community Safety at National Night Out in New Cassel

North Hempstead, NY – On August 5th, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, along with Councilwoman Viviana Russell, Councilman Peter Zuckerman, and Town Clerk Wayne Wink, joined with hundreds of members of the community to National Night Out: America’s Night Out Against Crime.

This year, Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth was recognized as an honoree for exemplary services to the Westbury-New Cassel community. Also honored was Reverend Michael Peynado of Westbury Divine Congregation Church for his great work in the community, and Yanira Chacon Lopez of St. Brigid’s Tutoring Program for her work in educating our youth.

The event is designed to heighten awareness about crime and drug prevention, show neighborhood strength, and support local police and anti-crime programs. The Westbury-New Cassel Community has been celebrating this event for more than 21 years.
