North Hempstead, NY –The Town of North Hempstead announced it will sponsor an Expo and Educational Conference hosted by “Be the Best Sport,” a Port Washington-based organization with a mission to promote the athletic development of special needs children.

This event will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Unlimited Sports Action, located at 30 Beechwood Avenue in Port Washington.

Expert speakers will be on hand to conduct seminars for parents on a number of useful topics for special needs children including proper nutrition, the benefits of music therapy, and how it is okay for special needs children to “learn differently.” While parents are attending the seminars, children will have the opportunity to participate in fun and exciting athletics programs with certified “Be the Best Sport” instructors.

More than two dozen vendors with special needs expertise will be available throughout the day to offer products and services and demonstrate their cutting edge products that are relevant for children with special needs.

Additionally, food and beverages will be available on site.
