2013 North Hempstead Summer Concert Series Now Underway
 
North Hempstead, NY – The 2013 North Hempstead Summer Concert series presented by Supervisor Jon Kaiman, the North Hempstead Town Board, and the Department of Parks and Recreation is in motion. Highlighting this year's schedule is:

Saturday, July 20th at 7:30pm Michael J. Tully Stadium Field- 1801 Evergreen Ave, New Hyde Park
"Cast of Beatlemania." – This band so seamlessly recreates the sights and sounds of The Beatles while sporting different costumes that coincide with the changing music and times. This band was individually selected from thousands of musicians who auditioned from all over the U.S for the Broadway show, "Beatlemania."

Friday, July 26 at 7:30pm Manorhaven Beach Park- 158 Manorhaven Blvd, Manorhaven (Port Washington)
“Abba Girlz.” – This band is the ultimate ABBA tribute band that accentuates beautiful harmonies, extravagant costumes and exciting choreography. The concert will feature the music of the group ABBA, including songs from the Broadway musical MAMA MIA.

Sunday, August 11 at 8:00pm North Hempstead Beach Park- 175 West Shore Road, Port Washington
“Kamy R.” – Persian musician Kamy R will take the stage to perform his top hits. At a young age, Kamy R realized his passion for singing, mainly inspired by R&B, Soul, and Funk. His debut album “DOBAREH” was released worldwide in November of 2010 and broke the traditional barriers of conventional Persian pop.

There are FREE concerts at Clark Botanic Garden, Mary Jane Davies Green, Clinton G. Martin Park, and North Hempstead Beach Park each week. For the full summer concert schedule please call 311.
