Community Visioning
The visioning process is a community-based planning initiative designed to bring community members together to provide input in the decision-making process.
Through visioning, residents break into smaller groups to brainstorm on designated questions and various issues. The exchange of ideas and concerns from each group are compiled and reported to the decision makers. The process presents an opportunity to learn about the options available on any given subject, while providing a forum for the expression of concerns, ideas, and opinions.g model is being implemented throughout the Town of North Hempstead in a variety of communities including: New Cassel, Port Washington, Roslyn Heights, Great Neck Library and Carl Place. These meetings have covered a wide range of topics, from developing a commercial corridor and business district to renovating a local park. |
