North Hempstead, NY – Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Councilwoman Viviana Russell, in conjunction with TD Bank & the United New Cassel Community Revitalization Corporation (UNCCRC), are proud to announce that North Hempstead will be hosting two FREE tree planting workshops for residents. Come by to learn about mulching, watering, pruning, different planting techniques, and the many ways to care for trees and shrubs.

This workshop is funded by a $20,000 grant the Town received earlier this year from TD Bank and the Arbor Day Foundation that will be used to fund projects throughout the Town including increasing the tree canopy of New Cassel.

Workshops will be held on Monday, October 6th and Thursday, October 9th from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m at North Hempstead’s “Yes We Can” Community Center, located at 141 Garden Street in New Cassel.
