Town of North Hempstead Announces New Online Environmental “Hub”

North Hempstead, NY – Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the North Hempstead Town Board are pleased to announce the new and improved environmental webpage on the Town’s official website, www.northhempsteadny.gov.

With such a vast repertoire of environmental programs available to residents, the Town has seamlessly integrated all programs and eco-tips into one central environmental hub, at http://www.northhempsteadny.gov/Environmental-Programs. Thanks to the “My North Hempstead” mobile phone app, residents can also access all of this invaluable information at their fingertips.

The new webpage provides easy access to all environmental programs, including the “Recycle the Rain” and Composting Cooperative programs. Residents can also learn about eco-friendly tips for the home, as well as tips to conserve water, reduce garbage output, save energy, and much more.

For more information about The Town of North Hempstead’s environmental programs, please call 311 or e-mail recycle@northhempsteadny.gov.

Supervisor Bosworth takes part in the School Recycling Partnership Program, the cornerstone of the Town’s environmental efforts.
