Guppies: Proof of age is required at the time of registration

Pre-requisite: None

This course is for children ages 6 months to 3 years old. An adult must accompany the child in the water. Children must wear swim diapers and a bathing suit. Skills taught include: water entry and exit, arm stroke, kicking and blowing bubbles. This course helps children become comfortable in the water, so they are ready to learn to swim. Children wear a bubble flotation device, toys are used and games played. This program is a fun environment for introducing children to the water.

Dolphins: Proof of age is required at the time of registration

Pre-requisite: Child must be out of diapers and able to handle parent separation.

This course is for children ages 3 to 5 years old. Children learn basic skills including: placing their face in the water, blowing bubbles, kicking, arm stroke and backstroke. Children will be introduced to life jackets and learn water safety skills. All children will wear a bubble flotation device while continuing to learn and improve their skills.

Sunfish: Proof of age is required at the time of registration

Pre-requisite: Child must be out of diapers and able to handle parent separation.

This course is for children 5 years of age only. The course is designed to continue the swimming skills learned in the Dolphins and Whales programs. However, they are not required for this program. Bubble flotation devices will be provided based upon the swimmer’s ability and instructor’s recommendation. The front crawl and backstroke will be taught along with proper breathing and kicking techniques. Water safety skills will be introduced by the use of life jackets.
