THE NEW NORTH HEMPSTEAD BEACH PARK
(formerly Bar Beach/Hempstead Harbor Parks) Overlooking Hempstead Harbor, North Hempstead Beach Park provides thirty-four acres of sandy beach and recreational activities. The beach includes a promenade for residents who want to walk along the waterfront. A fishing pier, boat ramp,bathhouse, and concession area is also available. The park provides basketball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, picnic areas with barbecues and shelter pavilions, and a playground. North Hempstead Beach Park each summer hosts a Sunday Afternoon Summer Concert Series. The concerts begin with a special July 4th performance and then continue each Sunday through Sept. 1st. In 2001, the Town began a rowing program for both adults and youth
(14-17). We will once again be offering one week courses in June and July for
