Manhasset, NY – Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Wayne Wink announce that extended municipal garbage pick up service along Plandome Road has begun. The six day service runs from Monday to Saturday excluding holidays. This is in an effort to further beautify Plandome Road while creating an even larger sense of pride within the Town.

“I am happy to announce that the Town is working toward making Manhasset’s Plandome Road a cleaner street for our residents to enjoy,” said Supervisor Jon Kaiman.

“North Hempstead is striving for a beautiful and cleaner Plandome Road and more frequent garbage collection will make a difference,” added Councilman Wink.

Plandome Road is overflowing with wonderful shops and restaurants for residents to enjoy, and by making sure it is a clean place to stroll, enhances the already strong sense of neighborhood pride.

“We, at the Chamber of Commerce, are delighted to see that the six day a week garbage pick up is working toward making Plandome Road cleaner,” remarked Diane Harragan, Co-President of the Chamber of Commerce of Manhasset.

Additionally, Councilman Wink is working closely with the Plandome Road Beautification Committee in their efforts to make the beautification project along Plandome Road a successful one. “This is an example of community involvement and support to beautify our Town,” he said.
