Town Announces Defensive Driving Courses
Manhasset, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Tony D'Urso announced today that the Town will be sponsoring two upcoming American Association of Retired People (AARP) defensive driving courses. The courses will be held at Town Hall in the board room, on the second floor and are open to all Town residents.
"This is a great opportunity for residents to reduce their insurance costs, reduce penalty points and to increase personal driving safety," said Supervisor Kaiman.
The first of the two courses will be a full day class held on Thursday, May 27th from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The second course will be a two evening class held on Thursday, June 3 and Thursday, June 10 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Residents must attend both classes in order to receive credit.
To register either course please send a check made out to AARP in the amount of $10.00 to: JoAnn Porrello, AARP Defensive Driving Course, North Hempstead Town Hall, 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset, NY 11030.
