Planner II
The Town of North Hempstead (population 222,611) is seeking qualified applicants to fill the Civil Service position of Planner II. The position is provisional, and the successful qualified candidate will be required to take a Civil Service exam in the future. Candidates must be residents of Nassau, Suffolk or Queens Counties at the time of application. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with major coursework in city or regional planning, American studies, urban studies, architecture, economics, civil engineering, environmental studies, political science, landscape architecture, or geography and a minimum of two years of satisfactory professional experience in local or regional planning. Starting salary is $62,043.
