PLUMBING INSPECTOR 1
The Town of North Hempstead Building Department is seeking to fill the Civil Service position of Plumbing Inspector I. This position is provisional, and the successful qualified candidate will be required to take a Civil Service exam in the future. Nassau County residency is required. You must have a high school diploma, including two years of satisfactory experience in the installation of plumbing fixtures as a supervisor, contractor or inspector. Considerable knowledge of the plumbing trade, applicable laws, codes and ordinances. Methods and techniques of plumbing inspection and the ability to read plans, specifications, blueprints and to maintain records and prepare reports.
Starting salary: $43,548.00.
