TOWN CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR
The Town of North Hempstead is seeking to fill the Civil Service position of Town Code Enforcement Inspector. The position is provisional, and the successful qualified candidate will be required to take a Civil Service exam in the future. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Nassau County residency is required along with a high school diploma and two years of satisfactory experience in performing investigation, inspection, or code compliance OR three years of satisfactory building construction experience which included checking for and compliance with applicable codes. A valid New York State Driver’s License is also required. Current Starting salary is $40,078. January 2008 Salary increases to 40,880.
