Taxpayers have the right to file a grievance regarding their property's assessed value. Grievances may be filed with the Nassau County Department of Assessment during the "grievance period" occurring Present to March 1 of any year with approved reductions to take effect for the second following years, School Tax Cycle. Taxes are determined by the Assessed Value muliplied by the Tax Rate.
