  • A Guide To Our Property Taxes – provides information pertaining to the payment of property taxes, including property tax exemptions and the distribution of property taxes.  Prepared and distributed by the Town Clerk's Office and the Receiver of Taxes.

  • Animal Shelter – contains information on the adoption, redemption, and maintaining of dogs.  Distributed by the Department of Public Safety.

  • Department of Community Services – Division of Senior Citizen Affairs – describes services and information useful to senior citizen residents of North Hempstead.

  • Know Your Town Code – offers highlights of the Town Code.  Prepared and distributed by the Department of Public Safety.

  • Love Me License Me -  describes the rules for licensing dogs.  Prepared and distributed by the Town Clerk's Office.

  • Stop Throwing Out Pollutants – 2001 Schedulea list of common hazardous waste products collected by the Town, and the dates and locations for their collection. Prepared and distributed by the Solid Waste Management Authority.

  • Town Facilities Are Reducing Their Use of Toxic Pesticides lists safe and effective methods for maintaining and managing gardens.  Prepared and distributed by the Town Supervisor's Office in conjunction with Grassroots Environmental Education and PORTCAP.
