Annual memberships are for the calendar year (January through December). Year-to-date Memberships are Year-to -date.For example,one made March 7th, 200 runs through March 7th, 2001.

Family Membership - $394.00 Immediate members of a family, i.e. husband, unmarried children residing in the same household.
Couple Membership - $336.00 A couple without children or a parent and child residing in the same household.
Individual Membership - $236.00 Adults between the ages of 18 to 59.
Senior Membership - $131.00 Individuals 60 years of age and older possessing a Town of North Hempstead Senior Card
Social Security / Disability Membership - $131.00 Individual possessing a Social Security Medicare card or a letter from Social Security Administration indicating that he/she is eligible to receive funding
Volunteer Firefighter/Ambulance Corps/ or Auxiliary Police - $131.00 Individuals with a letter of verification of active membership from the Department Chief

Homeowners must present three forms of identification: (1) a tax bill displaying the section, block and lot number of the residence. (2) a current utility bill. (3) a driver's license.

1. No admission to the pool, steamroom/ sauna, and/or exercise room without pool member's pass or proper identification and of designated fees.
2. No child eight (8) years of age or younger shall be admitted to the pool area unless accompanied by either: (1) a member of his/her family sixteen (16) years of age or older.(2) an adult eighteen (18) years of age or older.
3. Persons fifteen(15) years old age or younger will leave the pool area at 6pm daily unless accompanied by an adult.
4. No one is permitted on pool level or deck area except in a swim suit. Shoes, sandals, thongs etc. are not permitted.
5. All bathers are required to take showers before entering the pool.
6. No smoking in the pool area or in the Physical Activity Center.
7. No diving except from diving boards or in designated areas. No more than one person is permitted on diving board at one time, divers must wait until the previous diver exits has fully exited the pool before stepping onto a board. Divers must exit the pool by using the ladder.
8. No person shall use the pool or diving boards, who in the opinion of the lifeguard in charge, is not capable or qualified because of age, physical condition , or lack of skill.
9. No person will be permitted to enter the pool if, in the opinion of the lifeguard in charge, conditions therein are unsafe for bathers or swimming. Conditions shall be considered safe only when lifeguards are on duty. Hours will be posted.
10. The following are strictly prohibited in the pool area: ball playing of any type, pushing, running, dunking, boisterous conduct, toys, play equipment, strollers carts of any kind, flotation devices, swim fins, masks, eyeglasses, snorkels, food, beverages, candy, chewing gum, glass containers, suntan lotions or oils, and dressing or undressing except in designated areas.
11. Pool furniture shall not be moved or reserved.
12. No radios, CD players, stereos, or musical instruments shall be permitted in the pool area. Portable devices with headphones are permitted.
13. Card games or games of any sort are prohibited.
14. The Town Board shall set forth the rules and regulations as are necessary for the safety and welfare of the public.
15. The supervisor of the pool may designate the maximum number of persons admitted in the pool enclosure consistent with public safety guidelines. There shall be no person admitted in excess of the maximum number so designated. The maximum number permitted in the pool and the pool enclosure shall be posted in the pool area for the convenience of the patrons.
16. The Commissioner of Parks and Recreation may adopt additional rules and regulations and hours of operation found to be in the public interest for the safety, welfare, protection of the public.
17. The Rules and Regulations contained in chapter 39 Code of the Town of North Hempstead which are applicable to all Town Parks and Beaches are also applicable to Senator Michael J. Tully Jr. Park and Physical Activities Center.
18. Children age five years and older must utilize the locker room of their own gender. If children five years of age and older need assistance in dressing, a staff member will walk the child through the locker room of their gender and the parent or guardian will then meet them on the pool deck and can be taken to the lifeguard room for assistance.
19. Children who are not toilet trained must wear tight fitting rubber or plastic pants over a clean cloth diaper. Disposable diapers are prohibited.
Rules for the Sauna and Steam Room
Patrons must be 16 years of age or older
Attire: The Town of North Hempstead and the Nassau County Board of Health require proper attire when using he sauna and steam rooms, i.e., bathing suit or towel coverage. No drying of clothes in sauna, no use of lotions, and no drying off in sauna
Rules for Exercise Room
Patrons must be 16 years of age or older
Please note: Proper exercise attire must be worn at all times, which means full tee shirts (no cutoff or cap sleeve shirts), warm-up suits, sweat pants, leotards or tights, or proper gym shorts. For footwear, it means sneakers, athletic sport shoes, or ballet shoes. Street clothes street shoes are not permitted; bare feet are prohibited. All clothing and articles (water bottles, etc. must be put in the shelves provided - do not hang clothes on equipment.

The rising pool floor schedule includes most of the scheduled aquacise classes but not the school, handicap swim team programs. During the months of July and August and school holidays we operate on the Sunday Holiday schedule. Pool floor depth schedules available , in person upon request.

The rising pool floor area will be used for school, handicapped, aquatic and swim team programs at various times during the year. Lanes for daily lap swimming and an open area for wading are open at all times. Please look for information on the specifics of these programs. |
