R.S.V.P. This office is a clearinghouse for information, recruitment and referral of volunteers. Nassau County residents are needed for voluntary assignments in a variety of non-profit agencies, social services, A. Holly Patterson Home, children's shelters, Red Cross, Consumer Affairs, schools for retarded and emotionally disturbed, community centers, Youth Board, Nassau County Medical Center and many County museums. Foster Grandparents
Enables low-income senior citizens age 60 and over, to assist children with special needs in hospitals and day care centers. Volunteers receive a nontaxable stipend, assistance with transportation, and an annual free physical examination. For more information call: (516) 572-0800.

Senior Community Service Employment Program
The Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs administers a federally funded employment program (Title V) for economically disadvantaged persons, age 55 or older, to work twenty hours per week in public or private non-profit agencies. Job Placement Service
This program offers free employment service to Nassau County residents age 55 and over. Persons seeking employment are assisted with resume preparation and placement counseling.
