Renowned “4 Seasons” Tribute Band to Perform
Port Washington, NY—The Town of North Hempstead’s 2008 Summer Concert Series continues with RAGDOLL, widely considered one of the best tribute bands on the pop circuit, at North Hempstead Beach Park, July 13 at 1:00pm.
Ragdoll’s lead singer, Eddy Rezzonico, is known for a falsetto that bears an uncanny resemblance to Frankie Valli’s. The group reproduces, note for note, the unmistakable harmonies of the Four Seasons’ greatest hits including Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Ragdoll, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Stay and What a Night.
Parking fees apply: $15 for all Nassau County Residents; Parking Sticker for the season available for $40 for all Nassau County residents and $25 for seniors, handicapped, veterans and volunteer firefighters with proper identification.
Admission into the concert is free. Feel free to bring beach chairs and blankets. Rain date is scheduled for July 19.
Ragdoll is a part of a special North Hempstead weekend concert venue, with the Cast of Beatlemania performing Saturday, July 12 at Michael J. Tully Park at 7:30pm and Afshin performing Sunday, July 13 at North Hempstead Beach Park at 7:30pm.

Persian Pop Star to Perform at North Hempstead Beach Park
Port Washington, NY—The Town of North Hempstead’s 2008 Summer Concert Series continues with AFSHIN, a world renowned Persian pop star, live in concert, at North Hempstead Beach Park, July 13 at 7:30pm.
Afshin’s music is fresh and new, merging Persian lyrics and musical traditions with Western pop, in a style and quality that few in the Persian scene have achieved. Afshin’s musical production is of the highest standard, comparable to the biggest US and European pop productions.
There is a parking fee of $5.00 per vehicle. Admission into the concert is free. Rain location will take place at Harbor Links on the same date and time.

50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll for Children
Manhasset, NY—The Town of North Hempstead’s 2008 Summer Concert Series continues with SQUEAKY CLEAN, a band playing 50’s and 60’s rock and roll music for children, at Mary Jane Davies Green, July 14 at 7:30pm.
Squeaky Clean is known for covering the historical, political and cultural events during the 1960’s in an upbeat and exciting manor. Their program integrates mutual respect, tolerance, racial and cultural differences. Shows are entertaining for all ages, encouraging audience participation and involvement whenever possible. Join Squeaky Clean for an informative and fun-filled program.
Admission into the concert is free. Feel free to bring beach chairs and blankets. Rain location will take place at Manhasset Public Library on the same date and time.

Music and Art performance for Children
New Hyde Park, NY—The Town of North Hempstead’s 2008 Young People and the Art events continues with COOL BEANS MUSIC, at Clinton G. Martin Park, July 15 at 10:30am.
Cool Beans Music integrates music and art in a performance that delights all children. The ingenious lyrics with catchy music compositions have children signing and dancing along. This is an interactive, audience participation show. Cools Bean Music is a Parents’ Choice Music award winner as well as inducted into the Children’s Music Hall of Fame.
The concert is designed for children from ages 4 to 8. Admission is free. Beach chairs and blankets are welcome. Rain date is scheduled for July 9.

Sophisticated Jazz/Swing Band to Perform
Albertson, NY—The Town of North Hempstead’s 2008 Summer Concert Series continues with MANHATTAN JAZZ, a sophisticated swing band, at Clark Botanic Garden, July 15 at 7:00pm.
Manhattan Jazz offers a smooth and tasteful performance with rippling Piano styling’s, syncopated rhythms and jazz/Latin accents. This is the music that bridges the generation gap in its appeal to all, setting the stage for exciting non-stop dancing and listening. Spend your evening listening to meaningful, creative and well crafted songs by Manhattan Jazz.

Albertson, NY—The Town of North Hempstead’s 2008 summer movies continues with Breakfast at Tiffany’s at Clark Botanic Garden, July 16 at 9:00pm.
This classic movie portrays the life of Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn), a young woman transplanted to Manhattan with an unknown past. She is trying to find her place in the world when she becomes intrigued in her neighbor, an unemployed writer. Breakfast at Tiffany’s won 2 Oscars and was nominated for 7 others.

BEGININGS & BIG SHOT

Double Concert featuring Chicago and Billy Joel Tribute Bands
Port Washington, NY—The Town of North Hempstead’s 2008 Summer Concert Series continues with BEGGININGS & BIG SHOT, at Manorhaven Beach Park, July 19, starting at 7:00pm.
This special double concert will first feature Beginnings at 7:00pm. Beginnings is a band born out of the love and respect of the music of Chicago. With their love for Chicago Transit Authority, Phil Antonucci, Adam Colombo, Marty Safran, Mason Swearingen with the “Funky in The Middle” horn section have dazzled audiences at venues such as The Downtown, The Patchogue Theater, Paula Jean's, The Fulton Street Pub, and several Outdoor Festivals.
Immediately following Beginnings is a renowned Billy Joel tribute band, Big Shot. For anyone that loves Billy Joel, Big Shot is an absolute must see performance. They are renowned all over the country at being the best Billy Joel cover band out there. Billy Joel himself said in an interview “They had a hard time convincing it wasn’t me!”
Big Shot is led by Long Island’s own Mike DelGuidice, who is a spot on sound alike, and on the drums is Sal Devitto, the brother of long time Billy Joel drummer Liberty Devitto. Come out and experience what thousands are raving about!
Beginnings and Big Shot have recently appeared together at the Westbury Capital One Theatre.
