NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (the “Agency”) will receive sealed bids for:

DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE FOR

542 Union Avenue

726 Brush Hollow Road

275 Costar Street

216 Brooklyn Avenue

NEW CASSEL, NEW YORK

Bids will be received until 12:00 P.M. on the January 12, 2006 at the office of the Agency, 51 Orchard Street, Roslyn Heights, New Yorkat which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Contract Documents, including drawings and technical specifications, are on file at the office of the Agency, 51 Orchard Street, Roslyn Heights, N.Y. Contract Documents may be obtained Agency at a charge of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for each set of documents on or after November 29, 2005after 12:00 PM.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Town of North Hempstead Community Development Agency, negotiable U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the base bid for construction, shall be submitted with each bid.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds.

The sites will be accessible to all bidders on December 13, 2005 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:50 P.M. to answer any questions. The site accessibility schedule is as follows:

542 Union Avenue – 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM

726 Brush Hollow Road – 10:45 AM to 11:25 AM

275 Costar Street – 11:30 AM to 12:10 PM

216 Brooklyn Avenue – 12:15 AM to 1:50 PM.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, sex, color or national origin. The Contractor will be required to pay wages to laborers and mechanics at least equal to the wage rates as determined by, Davis Bacon Wage Rate No. NY 20030013, which rates shall be made a part of the Contract.

Federal Equal Opportunity and Labor Standards are applicable for all work performed under this Contract.

The Agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.

Bids may be held by the Agency for a period not to exceed forth-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
